UGent Racing

UGent Racing is the Formula Student team of Ghent University. Students from different fields of study and disciplines work together on an electric, autonomous race car. We allow them to put their theoretical knowledge into practice. Our ambitious and talented members can fully develop themselves through our project-based approach with a strong focus on innovation. In addition to the competition, we want to create support for a more sustainable future and a more project-based approach in higher education.

"We decided to make the switch to Altium to improve our workflow and have better collaboration between members when designing PCBs. Also outside the Low Voltage subteam we have seen the improvments via our use of the Draftsman functionality. Being able to quickly and clearly share PCB dimensions or make visual documents has greatly decreased design errors between subteams. For this reason we try to adhere to the industry leading software and have chosen to use Altium for our PCB design. It is amazing to be able to learn and use professional tools as a student."
