CreateFFTChart

Summary

This command is used to perform a Fast Fourier Transform on the active chart, and display the results in a new chart.

Access

This command is accessed from the SimData Editor by choosing the Chart » Create FFT Chart command from the main menus.

Use

First, ensure that the chart you wish to perform a Fast Fourier Transform on, is selected in the Waveform Analysis window. This is achieved by clicking on the required analysis tab at the bottom of the window.

After launching the command, the FFT will be performed and the results displayed in a new chart - added as a new tab (<AnalysisType>_FFT) and made the active chart in the window.

Tips

1. The new chart will be added after the last chart in the document.
