The Help About dialog (also referred to as the splashscreen)
Summary
This dialog presents information about the installed version of Altium Designer, as well as access to the My Account and Extensions and Updates areas of the software. In addition, the dialog provides access to the detailed relevant and applicable notices regarding copyright of the software.
Access
The Help About dialog is accessed by clicking Help » About.
Options/Controls
- Information - the dialog provides the following information:
- Version number (and build number) of the installed software.
- The user and computer name on which the software is installed.
- Licensing scope - what the current license can be used for.
- A short summary copyright notice.
- Copyright - click this button to access the Copyright notices dialog which gives a more detailed copyright notice for the software.
- My Account - click this button to quickly access the My Account area (also accessible from DXP » My Account). This is 'command central' for signing in to your Altium Designer account and setting up your licensing for the software.
- Extensions and Updates - click this button to quickly access the dedicated Extensions & Updates area (also accessible from DXP » My Account). This is 'command central' for efficiently managing the software and to update the core platform when a new version of the software is released and made available.
