Health Monitor in Browser Interface

This documentation page references NEXUS Server (part of the deployed NEXUS solution), which has been discontinued. All your PCB design, data management and collaboration needs can now be delivered by Altium Designer and a connected Altium 365 Workspace. Check out the FAQs page for more information.

The NEXUS Server Health reporter provides an immediate overview of the server's status, performance and any problems that need to be addressed. Previously available only as a separate application on the server host machine (in the installation's Tools folder), it is now accessible remotely by Administrators over the network as the browser-based Server Health page (Admin » Health). The health page is also available from the  button at the top of all server pages.

As a highlighted overview of the server status, the Server Health page provides distinct warning/error icons for status entries of concern. Common alerts include overdue data backups, pending license expiries or an active admin/admin user account. The Server Health page information is periodically updated, as indicated by the time stamp in the top Status section of the page, but an update may be triggered on demand with the associated refresh status link.

The performance of both the server and host PC are tested and summarized, and report logs made available for viewing and generation:

  • Server Logs download as a zip archive to the browser's default download location (Download all logs). These Include plain text logs for all services hosted by the server, where the log file for each service includes time based events (and errors) since the server was installed, or the logs cleared (Clear logs).
  • The Server Status Report downloads as a zip archive to the browser's default download location (the Generate link at the top of the page). This reports the condition status and setup of all core server elements. Intended as key information for Altium support teams, the reports include status and performance information on the host PC's supporting infrastructure.

If required, further and more detailed server health information is available from the standalone avhealth.exe tool found in the server installation's \Tools\HealthMonitor folder.

► See NEXUS Server Health Monitor for information on the standalone tool.
