Parent page: PcbDrawing Commands

The following pre-packaged resource, derived from this base command, is available:

Applied Parameters: None

Summary

This command is used to export the active Draftsman document (*.PCBDwf), in PDF format.

For a high-level look at how the Altium Draftsman Drawing System provides an interactive approach to the creation of production documentation for your PCBs, see Draftsman.

Access

This command is accessed from the PcbDrawing Editor by choosing the File » Export to PDF command from the main menus.

Use

First, ensure that the Draftsman document (*.PCBDwf) that you wish to export, is open as the active document in the main design window.

After launching the command, the standard Save As dialog will appear. Use this dialog to determine where, and under what name, the exported PDF file is saved. By default, the PDF will be saved in the same location as the Draftsman document.

Tips

  1. The PDF will either be a single page, or multi-page document, depending on the defined structure of the originating Draftsman document (whether it has a single sheet or multiple sheets).
