Summary

This command is used to to transfer an existing text style to other Draftsman text elements.

Access

This command can be accessed from the PcbDrawing Editor (Draftsman document (.PCBDwf)) by selecting an existing text element (that has the same style properties that you would like copied) then click Edit » Format Painter from the main menus or  from the Drawing Document Standard toolbar.

Text elements that are compatible with this command are editable objects, such as object Titles and Note items.

Use

Once the command is launched, the text style properties are captured and the cursor changes to the Format Painter tool icon (). Place the Format Painter tool icon over the text element(s) for which you want the same style properties then click to select. Once a text element is selected, the format of the text initially selected when the command was invoked will be applied to the selected text. Continue to select text elements or right-click or press Esc to exit the command.

Tips

  1. Text elements that are compatible with this command are editable objects, such as object Titles and Note items.
