Parent page: PcbDrawing Commands

The following pre-packaged resource, derived from this base command, is available:

Applied Parameters: None

Summary

This command is used to change the view in the main design window, such that the active Draftsman document (*.PCBDwf) is made completely visible (where possible).

For a high-level look at how the Altium Draftsman Drawing System provides an interactive approach to the creation of production documentation for your PCBs, see Draftsman.

Access

This command can be accessed from the PcbDrawing Editor by:

  • Choosing the View » Fit Document command, from the main menus.
  • Using the Ctrl+PgDn keyboard shortcut.

Use

After launching the command, the view in the main design window will change in order to fit the entire document, where possible. This of course will depend on the current sizing of the main design workspace within Altium NEXUS. For a single sheet Draftsman document, this should be no problem, but if the document contains multiple sheets, fitting the entire document into view, especially if there are a great many sheets, may not be possible. In this case, the software will attempt to fit what it can, with the center of the document at the center of the main design window.
