Applied Parameters: Object=Designator|ContextObject=Component
This command is used to toggle the display of the designator - between not hidden and hidden - for the component under the cursor.
This command is accessed from the PCB Editor by right-clicking over a placed component in the workspace then choosing the Component Actions » Hide Designator command (if the designator is currently shown), or the Component Actions » Show Designator command (if the designator is currently hidden) from the context menu.
After launching the command, the component's designator will either be hidden or made visible depending on whether it is currently visible or not.
- This command toggles the component's Show Designator property (when viewed through the PCB List panel). Display of the designator can also be controlled when viewing the properties for the selected component in the Properties panel. Click the control to the right of the Designator field, which will reflect the designator as being displayed () or hidden (), respectively.
