Parent page: WorkspaceManager Commands

The following pre-packaged resources, derived from this base command, are available:

Applied Parameters: ObjectKind=OutputMedium|PasteMode=Printer

Summary

This command is used to quickly create a new Print Job - as part of the active Output Job Configuration file - and associate the selected output generators with that job.

Access

This command is accessed from the OutputJob Editor by dragging the selected output generators, and dropping onto the Hard Copy region of the file - away from existing, defined print jobs.

Use

First, ensure that the output generators you want to associate with the new print job are selected. Then simply drag the selection and drop it onto an area of the Hard Copy region, away from existing print jobs. The new print job will be created, added to the bottom of the current list of print jobs, and named - using the names of the output generators in the selection - in the format:

New Print Job <OutputGeneratorName1>,  <OutputGeneratorName2>, ..., <OutputGeneratorNamen>,

where n is the number of output generators in the original selection.

Tips

  1. Do not drop the selection over an existing print job, otherwise you will simply be associating (linking) the selected output generators with that existing job, rather than creating a new one.
  2. If the selection contains output generators that cannot generate printed output, no new print job will be created.

Applied Parameters: ObjectKind=OutputMedium|PasteMode=PublishToPDF

Summary

This command is used to quickly create a new PDF output container - as part of the active Output Job Configuration file - and associate the selected output generators with that container.

Access

This command is accessed from the OutputJob Editor by dragging the selected output generators, and dropping onto the Output Containers region of the file - away from existing, defined output containers.

Use

First, ensure that the output generators you want to associate with the new PDF output container are selected. Then simply drag the selection and drop it onto an area of the Output Containers region, away from existing output containers. The new PDF output container will be created, added to the bottom of the current list of output containers, and named - using the names of the output generators in the selection - in the format:

New PDF <OutputGeneratorName1>,  <OutputGeneratorName2>, ..., <OutputGeneratorNamen>,

where n is the number of output generators in the original selection.

Tips

  1. Do not drop the selection over an existing PDF output container, otherwise you will simply be associating (linking) the selected output generators with that existing container, rather than creating a new one.
  2. If the selection contains output generators that cannot generate PDF output, no new PDF output container will be created.

Applied Parameters: ObjectKind=OutputMedium|PasteMode=PublishMultimedia

Summary

This command is used to quickly create a new Video output container - as part of the active Output Job Configuration file - and associate the selected output generators with that container.

Access

This command is accessed from the OutputJob Editor by dragging the selected output generators, and dropping onto the Output Containers region of the file - away from existing, defined output containers.

Use

First, ensure that the output generators you want to associate with the new Video output container are selected. Then simply drag the selection and drop it onto an area of the Output Containers region, away from existing output containers. The new Video output container will be created, added to the bottom of the current list of output containers, and named - using the names of the output generators in the selection - in the format:

New Video <OutputGeneratorName1>,  <OutputGeneratorName2>, ..., <OutputGeneratorNamen>,

where n is the number of output generators in the original selection.

Tips

  1. Do not drop the selection over an existing Video output container, otherwise you will simply be associating (linking) the selected output generators with that existing container, rather than creating a new one.
  2. If the selection contains output generators that cannot generate Video output, no new Video output container will be created.

Applied Parameters: ObjectKind=OutputMedium|PasteMode=GeneratedFiles

Summary

This command is used to quickly create a new Folder Structure output container - as part of the active Output Job Configuration file - and associate the selected output generators with that container.

Access

This command is accessed from the OutputJob Editor by dragging the selected output generators, and dropping onto the Output Containers region of the file - away from existing, defined output containers.

Use

Then simply drag the selection and drop it onto an area of the Output Containers region, away from existing output containers. The new Folder Structure output container will be created, added to the bottom of the current list of output containers, and named - using the names of the output generators in the selection - in the format:

where n is the number of output generators in the original selection.

Tips

  1. Do not drop the selection over an existing Folder Structure output container, otherwise you will simply be associating (linking) the selected output generators with that existing container, rather than creating a new one.
