This documentation page references Altium NEXUS/NEXUS Client (part of the deployed NEXUS solution), which has been discontinued. All your PCB design, data management and collaboration needs can now be delivered by Altium Designer (with Altium Designer Enterprise Subscription) and a connected Altium 365 Workspace. Check out the FAQs page for more information.

Summary

The DXF Import Settings dialog allows you to configure import options for standard DXF files and then load them into a multi-board schematic document.

Note that the DXF source graphic is interpreted using standard graphical shape objects – lines, circles, rectangles, text – and each individual object is therefore editable in the Properties panel.

Access

From the main menu, select File » Import from DXF then use the file browser to select a *.DXF or *.DWG file.

Options/Controls

  • Units – Select metric or imperial units to best match the source file.
  • Default Line Width – Select a default line weight for all objects within the imported graphic file.
  • Default Font Family – Select a default font to be used to represent any text in the source file.
