Selection Filter

The Selection Filter region of the Home tab allows you to create a filter that only allows the object-kinds of interest to be available for selection. The Selection Filter commands are available from the schematic and PCB editors in the Home | Selection Filter region.

Use the Selection Filter in conjunction with the Select options. 
The Selection Filter area's objects will vary depending on the current document editor.
  • All Objects – select to remove object filtering so that all types of objects may be selected, moved or edited. 
  • Object buttons – toggle the object buttons to enable/disable the ability to select, move or edit that object type. All object-kinds that are not enabled remain visible but cannot be selected, moved or edited.
