Parent page: PCB Commands

The following pre-packaged resource, derived from this base command, is available:

Applied Parameters: None

Summary

This command is used to switch the display of the PCB workspace to Board Planning Mode. Use this mode to define the board shape, and also to position and configure split lines and bending lines on a rigid-flex design. Split lines are used to divide the board into regions; each region can then be assigned a different layer stack.

Access

This command can be accessed from the PCB Editor by:

  • Choosing the View » Board Planning Mode command from the main menus.
  • Using the 1 keyboard shortcut.

Use

After launching the command, the workspace will change to display the board in Board Planning Mode. Relevant commands for features available in this mode can be found on the main Design menu.

Tips

  1. To switch to 2D Layout Mode or 3D Layout Mode, use the commands of the same name from the main View menu, or use the 2, or 3, keyboard shortcuts, respectively.
