Parent page: Schematic Commands

The following pre-packaged resource, derived from this base command, is available:

Applied Parameters: None

This command is used to turn the visible grid on or off in the current document.

This command can be accessed from the Schematic Editor, and Schematic Library Editor, by:

  • Choosing the View » Grids » Toggle Visible Grid command, from the main menus.
  • Using the Shift+Ctrl+G keyboard shortcut.
  • Clicking the toggle Visible Grid button () in the General section of the Properties panel, when no objects are currently selected in the workspace (show image).

The visible grid is used purely as an aid for visually aligning objects. The setting of this grid has no effect on the cursor movement during editing, this is controlled by the Snap Grid and the Electrical Object Snap Distance.

Launch the command to toggle the visible grid status on or off.

  1. Metric and Imperial presets for the visible grid can be defined from the Schematic - Grids page of the Preferences dialog.
