The following pre-packaged resource, derived from this base command, is available:

Applied Parameters: None

Summary

This command is used to remove the active part from the open multi-part component in the current document.

Access

This command can be accessed from the Schematic Library Editor in the following ways:

  • Choose Tools » Remove Part from the main menus.
  • Right-click and choose Tools » Remove Part from the context menu.

Use

First, ensure that the multi-part component from which you want to remove the part is selected in the Design Item ID list in the SCH Library panel (and is therefore the active component in the design window).

Navigate to the specific part of the component that you want to remove. After launching the command, the part will be removed from the component.

Tips

  1. You can also remove parts from a multi-part component directly from the SCH Library panel. All constituent parts are listed underneath the component's entry in the panel. Either double-click on the component name or click on the tree expander symbol (to the left of the name) to list all associated parts.
  2. Parts of components that have been removed cannot be restored by using the Undo command.
