The following pre-packaged resource, derived from this base command, is available:

Applied Parameters: CommandMode=NC

Summary

This command is used to redraw a selected rout path, enabling you to see exactly how the rout tool will proceed when the board is actually fabricated.

Access

This command is accessed from the CAMtastic Editor by choosing the View » Redraw a Rout Path command from the main menus.

Use

After launching the command, the cursor will change to a small square and you will be prompted to select a routed object. Simply position the cursor anywhere over the object that has been routed, and click. The plunge section of the rout path will be redrawn first. Continue clicking to redraw the rout path, one segment at a time, until the retraction point is reached. This is the exact path that the routing tool will use when the board is made.

Tips

  1. You may find it easier to enable only the rout layer, with all other layers turned OFF.
